West Virginia Chaos

To take soccer to the next level in West Virginia by being the state's premier soccer program, and to be the launching pad for players from the state to move to a professional team. To provide a high quality sports entertainment value for fans of all ages.

West Virginia Chaos is the first and only United Soccer Leagues (USL) franchise in the state. The USL is the largest organization of soccer leagues in North America. The club wanted to bring a competitive soccer league to WV to promote soccer and improve player development in the Mountain State. The WV Chaos team entered into the Premier Development League (PDL) in 2003 and competes in the Mid-Atlantic Division. The roster is made up of high school, college, and adult amateur players. The team develops players who have the desire to move on to a professional level, without endangering NCAA eligibility. The regular season runs from May to July, with playoffs in August.

Results

Our Chaos team finished one game below .500 this year, posting a 6-7-3 overall record. This year’s finish betters last year’s finish. It is our objective to improve this for the 2007 campaign and to qualify for the PDL playoffs in August. Click Here for 2006 Stats

Coach Marty Martinez is committed to assembling a top-notch team for 2007 and will be holding tryouts on the following two dates: Sunday, January 7th and Sunday, March 11th at Schoenbaum Stadium in Charleston. There will be two tryout sessions on each day, one at noon and one at 2:00 PM. Please e-mail Coach Martinez to get your tryout session assignment.
