ESPN's SportsCenter special feature on the late Private First Class Nick Madaras.
Very sad story. Nick enlisted in the Army without telling his family and was sent to Iraq eight months later. Not sure what his true motivation was for joing the Army. At just nineteen years old, it's such a huge decision, that it seems like his parents should know.
Nick was a youth soccer coach and player, his legacy lives on via a program to bring soccer balls over to the children of Iraq - Kick For Nick. He was killed by a road side bomb when he returned for his second tour of duty.
