A long time national team player, Pope spent 11 years playing for the United States national team. Now though, he doesn't seem even comparable to a player like Oguchi Onyewu. Pope was a classy player and pretty steady in the back though, rarely did he make a mistake. He just lacked the punch of a player like Onyewu.
