Dempsey gets the game winner at Craven Cottage. An amazing goal and he'd only just come on as a substitute. Fulham needed four goals to beat Juventus in the Europa League match after Trezeguet scored in the first two minutes, but a red card to Cannavaro reduced Juventus to ten men and gave Fulham a live line. Dempsey made the day magical with the winner.
Dempsey said: "I just thought, what the heck and tried to put it in the far post and it went in."
Dempsey has scored a few big goals for Fulham. In his first year with the side he got the winner against Liverpool that enabled them to stay in the Premier League.
Looks like he was also wearing the new Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II cleats with the new colorway, the lavender/black ones. Take a look at the picture below.
I wonder if Clint Dempsey's wife was in the stands to see this game? Is she becoming the first American WAG? I'm sure Mrs. Dempsey has gained quite a following since her Sports Illustrated shoot took place.
