In just his second game for French side Sochaux, Davies scores two goals as a second half subsitute in their lost to Bordeaux. Davies has been on a tear, scoring for the U.S. national team against Mexico in Azteca stadium, and now flying back across the Atlantic to net two for his club team. He should be in the starting eleven in short order. Is Davies the new American star? Davies enters the match at the 1:45 mark in the video below.
"It's great to score twice against a Champions League team like Bordeaux," Davies said. "This is proof that I have the ability to be a good player in this league."
Davies should have gotten an assist too, as he cut the ball squarely to a teammate who should have shot first time and scored.
