Messi's second goal in the 4-0 win over Stuttgart. Messi and Dani Alves have a unique and nearly telepathic partnership. Despite Messi being more of a forward and Alves a defender, the two combine time and time again. The two play wonderful short give and goes and play the ball back and forth to one another throughout the game.
Here, Alves flicks the ball through to Messi at the top of the box and the little Argentine magician does the rest.
Late in the game Messi almost completed his hat trick after Alves whipped in a cross, but Lehmann made a nice save and pushed the ball wide. It was just another example of the two players connecting. It's a good thing Alves is from Brazil and Messi from Argentina. I don't think it would be fair to have these two playing together in the World Cup.
